Mission Statement
To refurbish and recycle gently-used toys for disadvantaged children and seniors in care facilities while providing meaningful volunteer opportunities for the young-at-heart.
Proudly serving the South Sound for 25+ years. We are a 501c3 non profit that is nearly 100% volunteer run. We receive no state or federal funding.
We are not affiliated with DSHS or any other state agency. We do however use similar criteria to qualify clients and to establish need.

Volunteer
We are volunteer run, so we rely upon our volunteers to perform necessary tasks and day to day functions for the store. There is a variety of tasks that would suit almost everyone’s talents and interest including toy washing, electronic repairs, knitting doll blankets, data entry, supervision of volunteer groups and event organization.
Twice a year we have monumental programs that require many volunteers to accomplish the tasks required. For the Easter holiday, we fill over 1000 baskets with toys, books and candy. Then at Christmas time our annual distribution involves the cleaning and sorting of toys and the organization of distributing the hundreds of Christmas gifts. We need volunteers year-round but especially during these two events.
Please consider offering your skills to sustain our mission. Our volunteers get great satisfaction in knowing they help bring joy to children with gifts from our store. Every child needs toys to enhance their development and spark their imagination.

How to get toys
Our programs are designed to take away the stress of a parent wondering how they are going to buy a birthday gift, Easter basket, a new backpack or Christmas gifts when they are dealing with finding ways to keep food on the table and provide safe shelter. Well known psychologists have publicly stated that playthings are essential to the development of a child’s creativity and have a direct bearing on hobbies and or future careers. Toys also help in building self-esteem so that children feel equal among their peers.
If you are on state services for your child and can meet our criteria for proof, let us remove the extra stress by putting toys into the hands of your child.

Birthday gifts are presented to qualifying clients January through November for ages 1-15. December birthdays are served in November.

Open to children ages 1-12 only. Individual families requesting baskets must apply at least 3 weeks in advance of the WEEKEND before Easter.

Holiday Distribution for Individual families typically runs from the first week of December through December 23rd. Children from 1 month to 15 years of age are served.
